Day 15: Exercise

Whatever your ability, today try to move a little bit more, and realize that being able to exercise and move is a gift. I just finished 25 minutes on the treadmill – while I’m never excited to get up at 5am, I’m always glad I got my day started off right.

Day 13 of our Gratitude Photo Challenge: Health

I have to admit, I have not done my workout today but I will try to sneak it in later. Lazy Saturday morning bones… Today, let’s focus on being grateful for our health. If you follow the law of appreciation, the more you are thankful for an aspect of your life, the more positivity you will attract in that area.

Here’s a little story… I actually talked about it a few weeks ago. I had been having some troubling stomach pains for a good three weeks. They were pretty sharp and the more I worried and obsessed over them, the worse they became. I actually went to the ER one day because I was so concerned. Turns out it wasn’t anything to be concerned about but I was still having the pain (I’m certain now that is was anxiety-related). The day after I visited the ER, I decided to be grateful for a healthy tummy and my amazing good health. I made a decision that my stomach would not be in pain but would be in tip top shape. It’s been a few weeks since my hospital visit and I have not had one stomach symptom since that day. By just changing my thoughts, I was able to change my physical symptoms. I decided to focus on the good.

What aspect of your health are you thankful for?

Day 12 of the #Gratitude36 Challenge: Alone

I’m in introvert… I know most people who know me would disagree but being with other people drains me, and when I need to recharge, I need to do it alone. Today be grateful for those quiet moments where you can be alone with your thoughts, and when you can get grounded again.

Do you like being alone or are you an extreme extrovert who needs to be with people all the time?

Day 11: Work

I know sometimes we grumble about getting out of bed in the morning in order to get to work on time. Some days it may be difficult to drum up the excitement about putting in a full-days work when you imagine you could be doing something else. Today I challenge you to find gratitude in the work you do – in your job. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or CEO, there are nuggets of greatness in your work. Having a steady pay cheque, or co-workers you call friends, or a passion for what your work represents are just some of the ways you can feel grateful today.

What about your work makes you grateful?

Day 10: Comfort

In what ways do you find comfort? Today’s gratitude is all about what brings you comfort. Maybe it’s your family, a cozy blanket, your religion, a close friend. Share a picture that makes you feel all cozy inside!

Day 8 of the 36-Day Photo Challenge: Confidence

Today we’re going to be grateful for confidence. While some people are born with lots of it, there are others who fight to get as much of it as they can. But I think we can all agree we could just use a little bit more.

Today is not just a photo challenge, I’m throwing something else out there. Why not try something new and scary that pushes you outside that comfort zone? I’m actually going out tonight to do something that is going to make me feel a little scared and insecure. I’m not going to tell you what it is yet, but I’ll post about it later tonight. I love this picture that I posted to our work Instagram account. Whenever you step outside of your comfort zone, magical things happen.

Day 7: Smiles :)

Today’s gratitude photo du jour is smiles. I got to spend the morning with my extended family on my mom’s side. It’s been one year since my pepère (grandpa) past away so we had a memorial mass in his honour followed by a brunch. It’s always a great day when I get to spend time with my amazing aunts, uncles and cousins. Even though it was a somewhat sad occasion, there were lots of giggles and smiles.

I captured a great picture of my babies today. One is a little less toothy than the other. You can see it on my Facebook page. Don’t forget to like my page if you happen to stop by!

Have a great day and remember to be grateful for all those little moments.
